Commissioner Bio

"Christina L. Wilson has served as a domestic relations commissioner in the First and Second districts since 2016. Prior to this position, she was a partner at Bean and Micken where she handled primarily family law matters. She graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in 2001. She was the Young Lawyer of the Year and a Pro Bono Attorney of the Year for the Utah State Bar."‍

  • Monday (Farmington): Pretrials, Reviews, CMCs 8:30-9:30 by WebEx; Motions 9:30-11:30; 2:00-4:00; TRO/PO 1:30
  • Tuesday (Ogden): Pretrials and Reviews 8:30-9:00ish by WebEx; Motions 9:30-11:30; 2:00-4:00; TRO 1:30
  • Wednesday (Logan): Review Hearings, Pretrials, CMCs by WebEx
  • Thursday (Logan): 9:00-10:00 Motions; 10:30-12:00 POs; 1:30-4:00 Motions
  • Friday (Brigham City): 8:30-9:30 Webex Reviews and Pretrials and CMCs, Motions 9:30-10:30; POs 10:30-12:00 and Motions 1:00-4:00

Typical Time Allotment by Hearing Type

  • WebEx hearings are typically set for 15 min.
  • In person motion hearings are going to be set for 30 min.

Hearings Where Parties are Not Required to Personally Attend

  • CMCs

Hearing Types: In-person vs. Remote

  • WebEx: Pretrials, CMCs, Review Hearings, Recommendation Hearings, and other similar one issue motions
  • In person: POs, MTE, MTO and all other motions

Timeline for Virtual Link or Call Information

WebEx links are provided the two days prior to the hearing and are a different link each time for security reasons.

Motion to Appear Remotely Circumstances

Good cause such as illness, family emergency, unforeseen circumstances, or agreement of the parties and counsel in court.

Initial review of a TRO.

"Expedited" Hearing Circumstances

Relocation pursuant to UCA 30-3-37, TROs, military orders pursuant to UCA 78B-20-303.

In writing and filed in the case.

Pretrial and Trial Scheduling

Under 100A, notice will be at the CMC.

Commissioner Preferences or Requests

  • Please file a motion to withdraw if there is a hearing pending.
  • Please request a motion to appear remotely or to continue as far in advance as possible.
